Queens of the Continent Foundation is dedicated to the next generation of female leaders in Africa and throughout the diaspora. By harnessing the power of sport, we create winning opportunities for young women and girls to truly hold court.

Our Founder

Queens of the Continent Foundation (QoTC) was launched in 2024 by Chiney Ogwumike, a Stanford University graduate, two-time WNBA All-Star, ESPN host, and inaugural member of President Joe Biden’s White House’s Advisory Council on African Diaspora Engagement.

INITIATIVES

Queen’s Court

QoTC’s commitment to building access to world-class facilities by developing basketball courts and educational infrastructure across Africa and beyond. These spaces serve as hubs for athletic growth, academic achievement, community connection, and empowerment, ensuring that the next generation of female athletes has the resources to reach their full potential.

Queen’s Elite Camps

Bring together top talent, coaches, and mentors to deliver high-level training experiences for young female athletes and young professionals. These camps are designed to strengthen player development, sharpen skills, and foster leadership both on and off the court. By creating opportunities for competition and growth, QoTC equips young women to succeed at the highest levels of sport.

Queens of the Broadcast

Expands the definition of opportunity in sport by opening doors to media, journalism, and broadcasting careers. Through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, this initiative prepares young women to share stories, shape narratives, and lead in the sports media landscape.
